Invitation to participate in the
5th Inter-Continental Gathering of Wilderness Guides
September 17 - 23, 2012, Ukraine

Dear Colleague,

We warmly invite you to meet with old and new friends at the 5th Inter-Continental Gathering of Wilderness Guides in Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. We hope that this Gathering will be fruitful for future development of wilderness rights of passage and our fertile land will be supportive for new beginnings. Let us together plant the seeds for future!

We now check some beautiful places in Carpathian Mountains. As soon as we will have the final decision we will write you detailed information. But we are sure this place will combine wilderness and some comfort, camping and rooms in the house. And will hold and embrace all of us.

We understand that our country is terra incognita for many of you. We are ready and open for providing you all necessary information and support. We would like to invite everybody who wants to provide pre and post Gathering workshops and programs to write us as soon as possible for us to help with organization.

Of course we will be offering events devoted to the exploring of wilderness areas in Carpathian Mountains, visiting historic places and acquainting with Ukrainian cultural traditions.

We encourage families with children to attend. We plan to organize activities for them too. Our idea is somehow help those of us who will be with children to have some free time for participation in Gathering. So, we would like to ask if somebody is ready to volunteer as babysitter for several hours during the gathering. Let us try to take care together about parents and children.

Please, let us know if you need anything specific in regards to Visa applications. EU countries, USA, Great Britain need not visa. But some countries need. Please, consult with Ukraine embassy in your country. (Here you can find the list with the contact information about Ukraine embassies in different countries http://www.mfa.gov.ua/mfa/en/305.htm). We will be glad to help as much as we can. Please give yourself enough time and apply early.
